McDonald’s is creating a new restaurant chain named CosMc’s. The name came from the McDonald's mascot who is an alien. This name appeared in Mcdonalds advertisements of the 80s and 90s. The story portrayed behind this alien was that he came from some outer space and craved McDonald's food.
McDonald's is a well-known fast food giant that is ready to expand its domain and enter into the restaurant business.
The official information stated that it will be available in only some places during early 2024 and gradually expand.
The core of this restaurant chain will stick to the McDonald's DNA but it will have a unique personality. This was mentioned by the CEO Chris Kempczinski. The food giant has released only a handful of information right now and plans to share more clarity on this in late December.
This is another venture by Mcdonald's after the Grimace of U.S. business, introduced in June with a purple milkshake offering combo meals. This got huge traffic on social media and increased its sales.
CosMc’s locations
This brand new spin-off restaurant chain is set to open its very first restaurant in Bolingbrook in December 2023. This is suspected to be a part of a test run to ensure the smooth flow of later ones. They are planning to open 10 CosMc's pilot locations by the end of the year 2024. These 10 locations will include Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, and other places.
CosMc’s menu
CosMc's menu is huge with a special focus on drinks and breakfasts. There are more than 10 new drinks from Sour Cherry Energy Slush, and Tropical Spice Made to S’mores Cold Brew. These drinks are not just coffees and lemonades but energy-booting beverages. Adding more flavors is in your hands because you are free to ask for some customization and make it all that you crave.

Conclusion:
CosMc is not a new name, you may be unaware but it was featured in McDonald's commercials advertisement series between 1980 and 1992. CosMc was all about a mascot that featured an alien from outer space who was made to crave McD's food and beverages. This was part of a “small-format, beverage-led concept”. Inspired by the concept of this out-of-the-world alien- the “truly out of this world" taste is coming to CosMc Restaurants.
Bolingbrook is the first pilot site, situated near Mc Donald's Headquarters in Chicago, that is expected to solve the problem of a “3 pm slump.” Surprisingly half of the menu is dominated by drinks such as “churro frappé,” vitamin C shots, “s’mores cold brew,” “popping pear slush” and “sour cherry energy burst.”The partial food menu offers McDonald’s staples such as McFlurry ice creams and egg McMuffin sandwiches, hash brown bites, cookies, new sandwiches, donuts, and pretzel bites.
If you are also waiting for the restaurant to come to your location and hold your cravings and wait for its expansion it is expected to be in late 2024.
